AJ Cisney, Chair of the Board of Directors for UnitedAg and the Education Committee (AEF), announced that the Directors awarded 10 vocational scholarships for the 2019-2020 calendar year.
IRVINE, Calif., July 12, 2019 – UnitedAg, a member-owned agricultural trade association representing more than 1,000 organizations in California and Arizona, announced today that Eric Davis, Human Resources and Employee Relations Manager for Associated Feed & Supply, a livestock producer based in Turlock, California, has been elected to the association’s Board of Directors. He becomes the seventh agribusiness leader to currently serve on the UnitedAg Board.
Napa, Calif., - UnitedAg staff, members, Service Representatives, chamber members and local officials celebrated the opening of the new Health and Wellness Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony May 16th.
The new wellness center located near the downtown area of Napa is one of thirteen centers located throughout California and Arizona.
Kirti Mutatkar, CEO for UnitedAg gave opening remarks, thanking all parties involved in the vision of the project.
“Today we are gathered to officially open the UnitedAg Health and Wellness Center here in Napa,” said Mutatkar. “Two years ago, we hosted our Annual Conference at the Westin in Napa. Our conference theme was Advancing Together. That can be said today, by all of our members’, employees, their dependents. We’ve built upon the conversations and have developed new and innovative ways to increase their accessibility to quality healthcare at zero copay.”
VISALIA, Calif., May 10, 2019 - Twenty-one students in the Central Valley and neighboring counties have received scholarship awards totaling $20,500. UnitedAg awarded the scholarships after reviewing 82 submitted applications. Applicants submitted in addition to detailed information, an essay focused on California’s current economy and what percentage is represented by agriculture.

Together with UnitedAg’s eleven existing Health Centers, these new wellness centers will provide access to thirteen centers across California and Arizona for members’ employees and dependents with healthcare coverage through United Agricultural Benefit Trust (UABT). These centers provide a range of services focused on the unique needs of the agricultural community – from acute and episodic care to health-risk and disease management to wellness and prevention. Emphasizing on short wait times and personalized care, these wellness centers also feature on-site lab services and many available on-site prescriptions.

This year’s top scholarships were awarded to Ashlyn Geiger member affiliated with McCorkle Farms, proud recipient of the Maurice McMillan Award. Pedro Zepeda member affiliated with Moody Western Cooling, recipient of the William C. Goodrich Scholarship.

Mack Ramsay has served as President/Managing Member at Pacific Commerce Group (PCG) since 2005. PCG provides domestic and international consulting services, special project analysis, implementation and management to business, food manufacturing and the agriculture industry operating between the U.S., China, Mexico and Japan. He also serves as Executive Vice President/General Manager for Calberi Inc., an agricultural cooperative and service provider. PCG has been a long-standing member of UnitedAg and its affiliated companies. Mack became a member of the UnitedAg Board of Trustees in 1997.
