CDFA Webinar on Draft Recommendations – September 15

Informational Webinar will be held on September 15, 2025

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), in collaboration with the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) and the State Water Resources Control Board (Water Boards), will host a public webinar on September 15, 2025, to provide an overview of the draft recommendations as part of the Regulatory Alignment Study.

About the Webinar

Crowe LLP, CDFA’s consultant on the study, will lead the public webinar and provide:

  • An overview of the Regulatory Alignment Study
  • Highlights from the draft Final Recommendations and Implementation Steps Report
  • Guidance on how to submit feedback.

The draft Final Recommendations and Implementation Steps Report will be available on the Study’s website following the September 15 webinar. The draft recommendations are based on feedback gathered from hundreds of interviews and consultations with the agricultural community, program staff, agency leadership and other interested parties over the past three years. The recommendations are intended to:

  • Empower the agricultural community through clearer and more streamlined food safety and water quality regulatory administrative and reporting processes
  • Support the State’s data collection and information sharing efforts, and
  • Strengthen environmental and public health outcomes.

Crowe LLP is seeking feedback before finalizing recommendations to be delivered to CDFA, CalEPA and the Water Boards by the end of the year.
