David Nace, Chief Medical Officer
David K. Nace is Chief Medical Officer for the MarkLogic Corporation, a a global technology company headquartered in Silicon Valley, which serves as the data platform for healthcare.gov and other private and public healthcare enterprises. Before joining MarkLogic, he served as Vice President of Clinical Development and Population Health for the McKesson Corporation for over a decade.
Dr. Nace is a national health care thought leader with years of varied operational experience, and has been involved in healthcare reform and managed care strategies since the early 1990s. He has served as a Senior Vice President and Corporate Medical Director for United Health Group, and a Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Aetna, Inc. He has held medical directorships in a variety of academic and community-based health care organizations.
Dr. Nace sits on many national boards, where he frequently holds a leadership role. He is the immediate past chairman of the board of directors for the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC), where he founded the PCPCC Center for e-Health; he continues to serve on PCPCC’s board. He is also on the board of directors for the Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization and the Population Health Alliance.
He has served as a consultant for many public and private organizations, most notably the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the Wharton School, the United Nations Business Council. He has been an appointed advisor to the American Medical Association's CPT Editorial Panel, the National Business Group on Health, and the World Health Organization on issues ranging from health promotion, and wellness to employer benefit design and healthcare payment methodologies.
