The AEF Emerging Leaders Academy Tour Ventura and Santa Maria County Operations

Santa Maria, Calif., July 19, 2019 - Over the course of these two days, they visited Saticoy Lemon, Curation Foods, and Babe Farms and saw firsthand harvesting, processing, and packing/cooling operations. They saw how hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce is picked, packaged, and shipped to grocery stores/distribution facilities across California and neighboring regions.

The Acedemy's Mission is promote professional growth of the next generation of agribusiness leaders and to ensure a thriving agricultural industry for generations to come. The UnitedAg Agribusiness Emerging Leaders Academy is a personal development and leadership . Each year, a select group of 5 agribusiness students will take part in the twelve-month, course designed to educate, develop, connect future agribusiness leaders. The program will offer components of the agribusiness industry, personal and professional development, networking and relationship-building activities, and guidance from leading industry executives through an intimate speaker series exclusive to the AEL.
