AgSafe Women's Impact Summit 2020 | A Dynamic Discussion About Gender Equity in Agriculture
The Women's Impact Summit is designed to encourage an open and progressive discussion around vital aspects of the gender equity paradigm in the agriculture community. According to the 2017 USDA Census of Agriculture, 2 out of every 5 farmers and ranchers today are women. Women are playing an increasingly impactful role in how the nation's agricultural industry continues to thrive. And yet, many businesses are failing to address the inherent gender bias that still exists within their own organization.
Industry leaders will share their expertise on the pay gap, the challenges in developing women leaders, and the barriers in land ownership and conservation. Their presentations will be followed by an afternoon planning session allowing participants to collaborate with fellow thought leaders to facilitate change.
The Women's Impact Summit will foster difficult conversations, help to examine systemic truths and create space to develop proactive calls to action. Join us in this dynamic day-long conversation and explore how you can be a catalyst for meaningful change around gender equity in your community.
