Shelley Manhire, Regional Director of Sales, Central Valley
Shelley Manhire is the Director of Sales for UnitedAg, serving the Central Valley. She has worked in the employee benefits field since 1991 and joined UnitedAg in 2010.
Previously, Shelly worked for Fortune 500 company Health Net, managing the Fresno and Bakersfield offices and a $6 million budget, for two multi-carrier general agencies (BenefitMall and Price Associates), and was the Regional Sales Manager for Western Growers. She began her career with the Procter & Gamble Sales Division in Southern California, where she learned the grocery and food service businesses.
Shelly holds Life and Health and Property and Casualty licenses, and recently earned a Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA) Certification from the National Association of Health Underwriters. She received her bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and served as an intern for Congressman Leon Panetta in Washington, D.C. during her junior year in college.
Shelley has been involved with multiple organizations throughout her career, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Central Valley, as President of California Women for Agriculture, Central Valley, as State Task Force Director, Fresno Downtown Rotary Club, and as Vice President of Finance for Central California Association of Health Underwriters.
