UnitedAg Adds Seven New Health & Wellness Clinics to its Growing Network Serving California Farmworker Families

IRVINE, Calif., (AgPR), June 26, 2017 – UnitedAg, a member-owned agricultural trade association representing more than 650 organizations in California and Arizona, today announced it is adding seven new health and wellness clinics to its growing network that serves California farmworkers and their families. Through an agreement with Salinas-Calif.-based Pinnacle HealthCare that takes effect July 1, UnitedAg will extend beneficial services to thousands more of its eligible participants through Pinnacle-operated clinics in the agricultural communities of Freedom, Hollister, King City, Los Banos, Salinas (Blanco), Salinas (Rossi) and Soledad. Under most UnitedAg-sponsored benefit plans, many of the services are provided with zero copays or deductibles.

Together with UnitedAg’s two existing Health & Wellness Clinics in Santa Maria and Visalia, these new clinics bring to nine the number of health and wellness facilities across California that are available to UnitedAg members’ employees and dependents with medical coverage through United Agricultural Benefit Trust. The clinics provide a range of services focused on the unique needs of the agricultural community – from acute and episodic care to health-risk and disease management to wellness and prevention. Emphasizing short wait times and personalized care, the clinics also feature on-site lab services and many available on-site prescriptions.

“We’re proud to increase the availability of beneficial health and wellness services to so many more of our member’s employees and their dependents across California’s agricultural communities through this agreement,” said Kirti Mutatkar, President and CEO of UnitedAg. “In partnership with Pinnacle HealthCare, we’re advancing a new model in healthcare that delivers comprehensive, high-quality services to farmworkers and their families at an affordable cost.”

To celebrate the addition of the seven new clinics to its member network, UnitedAg will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Pinnacle HealthCare Salinas (Blanco) Clinic, at 947 Blanco Circle. Interested ag employers are welcome to attend. To RSVP for the event contact Martee Camarillo at membership@unitedag.org or (949) 975-1424.
